The Crunchyroll Anime Awards is formerly known as The Anime Awards, which were organized annually by the anime streaming service Crunchyroll to honor the best anime of the previous year.

This year, the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025 were scheduled to be held on May 25, 2025, at the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan, which marks the 9th edition of the Anime Awards. The event will be hosted by the two renowned hosts, Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira, who previously hosted two events.

The awards were announced during Crunchyroll’s industry panel at CCPX 2024 in São Paulo, Brazil, where anime from October 2023 to December 2024 is eligible for this edition.

Crunchyroll also mentioned that from the next edition onward, only anime released from January to December will be considered.

This year’s Anime Awards 2025 features a total of 32 categories, including new categories for Best Background Art, Best Isekai Anime, and Best VA Performance (Hindi).

As the event is scheduled to be held on 25th May 2025, the Categories were revealed on December 6, 2024, and the Nominees were revealed on April 3, the first day of public voting, which will run until April 14.
