48th Kerala Film Critics Award: The Kerala Film Critics Award 2024 winners have been announced, while there is much more excitement among the fans to know the winner’s name. Besides, Kerala State Film Awards 2024, the Kerala Film Critics Award stands out as the only private film accolade in the state selected by a jury.

The Kerala Film Critics Awards were organized annually by the Kerala Film Critics Association to honour both technical and artistic excellence of professionals in the Malayalam Film Industry, which is also known as Mollywood.
However, the winners of the 48th Kerala Film Critics Awards 2024 have been selected through a well-defined procedure that includes inviting film submissions and conducting special screenings for evaluation.

During the 48th edition of the Kerala Film Critics Awards 2024, there are some of the finest talents in the Malayalam film industry are honored, including Fasil Muhammed’s Feminichi Fathima was honored as the Best Film of the year.
The critically acclaimed project was produced by Thamar KV, Sudheesh, and Fasil Muhammed and stood out for its compelling storytelling and impactful performances.
Highlighting a milestone for women in cinema, filmmaker Indu Lekshmi received the Best Director Award for her bold & insightful film Appuram.
In acting categories, Tovino Thomas earned the Best Actor title for his outstanding performances in ARM and Anweshippin Kandethum. The Best Actress award was shared by Nazriya Nazim, recognized for her nuanced role in Sookshmadarshini, and Rima Kallingal for her impactful performance in The Myth of Reality.
The awards were formerly announced by Dr. George Onakkur, who is the jury chairman and president of the Kerala Film Critics Association.
The jury panel comprised Thekkinkad Joseph, Dr. Aravindan Vallachira, Dr. Jose K. Manuel, and A. Chandrasekhar, each contributing valuable expertise and perspective to the selection process.

The Kerala Film Critics Awards is an organization of film critics from Kerala. It is celebrated every year to honour the finest achievements in filmmaking and is presented by the Kerala Film Critics Association Awards.
Kerala Film Critics Association Awards Juries & Rules
The awards are given in several categories. In addition to regular categories, the association occasionally gives special awards.
The accolade included a cash award of Rs. 1 lakh for the best film. The second-best film, best director, best actor, and best actress will receive Rs. 25,000 each.
