The Film Critics Circle of India (FCCI) is a society comprising notable film critics from all the major film-producing states of India. At the AGM, held during the 2013 International Film Festival of India, Subhash Ghai remarked, “You are in a profession of great responsibility.
You hold the duty to influence the growth of civilization and the future generations. As filmmakers, we regard you as divine figures. Guide us with your reviews, point out our shortcomings, and suggest ways for improvement. But do not mockup. Creative people are extra sensitive, so talk like a mother, not like an opponent.”
