The 69th Filmfare Awards South is an upcoming event celebrating and honoring the finest films and performances in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam cinema and music from 2023. It will also feature special recognitions for lifetime achievements and select special awards.
When the Filmfare Awards were first introduced in 1954, they exclusively recognized achievements in Hindi cinema. In 1964, the awards expanded to include, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, and Marathi languages.
