The 10th Ajanta-Ellora International Film Festival will be organized to be held from 15th January to 19th January 2025 at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The AIFF 2025 was held at PVR INOX, Prozone Mall at Sambhajinagar. And it was reportedly said that it was a five-day event.
As per the official announcement, the film festival will span over five days, from January 15 to January 19. It is expected to be graced by several nations and artists from across the globe.
The festival will be inaugurated by Maharashtra’s Minister of Cultural Affairs, Ashish Shelar, along with the festival’s chairman, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker.
During the five days of the event, the Indian cinema competition category will feature 9 films in several languages A panel of five national-level jury will evaluate the film along with the audience.
The best Film Award will receive the Golden Kailas Award along with a cash prize of 1 Lakh. The awards will be presented in the Best Actor (Male/Female) category as well as for the Best Screenplay.
The jury of the Indian Cinema Competition will be chaired by renowned actress Seema Biswas (Guwahati). The jury panel includes veteran cinematographer CK Muraleedharan (Mumbai) senior editor Deepa Bhatia (Mumbai), director Joe Baby (Kochi), and screenwriter and actor Girish Joshi (Mumbai).
The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) will also have a special jury for the festival which is chaired by the veteran writer and film critic Latika Padgaonkar, along with Shiladitya Sen (West Bengal) and GP Ramachandran (Kerala).
This year’s Padmapani Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to eminent authors screenwriters, producers, and director Padma Bhusan Sai Paranjpaye for her contribution to Indian Cinema.

The event was organized annually in the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar formerly called Aurangabad, the event represents both the recent and classic cinema, offering a platform for artists, filmmakers, technicians, and cinephiles to delve into the artistic and technical aspects of filmmaking.
To mark the 10th year of the festival, the organisers have also planned to screen Kaliya Mardan, the iconic silent film directed by the father of Indian cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke, 105 years ago.
