Hello guys get ready for the biggest celebration as the much anticipated News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2025 is set to be held in Mumbai on March 20, to celebrate the best performances in films in OTT in Indian Cinema.

The countdown has begun for one of the thrilling & dazzling events News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2025 will take place in Mumbai. This event will bring together the biggest names of Bollywood and from the OTT space.

This event is held annually and organized by News 18 Group to celebrate the best performances in films and OTTs that are released between 1 January 2024 to December 31, 2024.

2024 turned out to be a game-changer year for Indian Cinema with mid and small-budget films taking the spotlight during the event. Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Horror-Comedy Stree 2 dominated the box office, earning an impressive Rs.874 crores.

Meanwhile, Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies became a hit on the OTT platform as they won hearts with the quirky and socially relevant story of mistaken identity.

Romantic Sci-fi drama movie Teri Baaton Mai Aisa Uljha Jiya starring Shahid Kapoor and Kirti Sanon become a fan favorite. Whereas as supernatural thriller Munjya, featuring Abhay Verma and Sharvari surprised everyone by learning Rs.132 crore worldwide.

OTT’s web series like Heeramandi mesmerized fans, whereas Citadel: Honey Bunny, Mamla Legal Hai, and reality shows like Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives kept fans hooked.

Who will Take Home Back the Coveted Award?

The competition is even tougher this year, will Shraddha Kapoor win back-to-back Best Actor Awards (Female) again after Tu Jhuthi Mai Makkaar’s success or a new one can replace her?
