Vicky Kaushal is an Indian actor who was born on 16 May 1988 in Bombay Maharashtra. He is renowned for his work in Hindi films. He is the recipient of 28 accolades including three IIFA Awards – Best Debut Actor for Masaan (2016), Best Supporting Actor for Sanju (2019), and Best Actor for Sardar Udham (2022).

He also won the National Film Award for Uri: The Surgical Strike. Kaushal won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for Sanju and Best Actor (Critics) for Sardar Udham at the 66th National Film Awards. He also appeared in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list in 2019.

Vicky Kaushal was born in Mumbai on 16 May 1988 and belongs to a Punjabi Hindu family with roots in Hoshiarpur Punjab. His father, Sham Kaushal is a Bollywood action director and his younger brother Sunny is also an actor.
Kaushal completed his engineering degree from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology in 2009, but the sooner he realized his passion for acting. He was trained under Namit Kapoor and did theatre before making his debut in films.
He started his career in assisting Anurag Kashyap in Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), where he played minor roles in the films. After this he got a leading role in Masaan (2015), following this, he featured in a psychological thriller movie Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016).
Kaushal gained recognition in 2018 with supporting roles in the top-grossing drama movies Raazi & Sanju and later he won the Filmfare award for Best Actor.

Vicky Kaushal’s Breakthrough
Vicky Kaushal’s breakthrough came in 2018 with Netflix’s Love Per Square Foot, where his chemistry with Angira Dhar was praised. After that, he starred in Raazi as a Pakistani officer, with Alia Bhatt. The film received praise for his performance in the movie.
