The Asian Film Awards 2025 was held on March 16, 2025, at Xiqu Centre in the West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong. This year the event marks the 18th Awards event and features a selection of 30 outstanding films from 25 countries and regions, competing across 16 awards.
During the Asian Film Awards event, the South Korean film Exhuma, with 11 nominations, was the most-nominated film this year.
Meanwhile, Actors Dean Fujioka, Aokbab Chutimon, Austin Lin, Lo Chun-yip, and Masaki Okada were appointed, with Fujioka serving as the ambassador and the others as youth ambassadors.
However, the ceremony took place at the Grand Theatre, where Jason Chan and Sarah Song were the hosts. The nominations of the Asian Film Awards 2025 were announced on 10th January 2025.
During the event, it is broadcast live on the YouTube Channel of the Asian Film Awards Academy and TVB Plus (Channel No.18) and aired live at 17:00 HKT. During the event, All We Imaging As Light by Payal Kapadia won the Best Film Award.
